Work With Purpose. Rest With God.

This Labor Day, we honor the value of hard work—but Scripture also reminds us that God never intended for us to work without rest.

Jesus told His disciples, “Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while.” — Mark 6:31

And in Matthew 11:28, He gives us this invitation: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

There is purpose in our labor, but there is also wisdom in knowing when to pause, restore, and allow God to renew us.

At Black Elder Herbal Apothecary, our mission is rooted in that same idea: helping families be intentional about caring for the bodies God gave them so they can be strengthened for the work, purpose, and people He has placed in their lives.
